The sun is a celestial body that shines with its own light, is a permanent source of light, heat and energy, is a star that is a central part of the solar system, within which is the earth, also the sun, is the legal tender of Peru since 1991.

My artwork “In Search of the Sun” has two meanings, the sun as a star and the sun as a Peruvian currency. We find a peasant woman with dreams and illusions, a worker, merchant and saleswoman looking at the horizon, in search of that SUN. It is topped at the bottom with the Peruvian flag, red, white, red and the number two hundred (200) corresponding to the Bicentennial of this country.
