It represents the biodiversity of the Catatumbo jungle in Colombia, where a beautiful butterfly takes refuge in a corner of bamboo covered with vegetation, its multicolored shades, make the jungle and the North Santandereano landscape a fabulous sample of Colombian fauna and flora.

This painting pays homage to the Catatumbo region, its meaning in the Barí language is “House of thunder”. It shows us the identity of this area, symbolizing the refuge as a temporary shelter and the life of that butterfly that despite all the rebuffs of the territory still lives there.
