Boyacá occupies a privileged place in the development of the Paso Fino, Trocha, Trot and Gallop horses. Chiquinquirá is considered the cradle of the Colombian Paso Fino horse, therefore, the Equine Fair of this city, the oldest and most important event of the Department, gathers hundreds of horse riders and has one of the largest coliseums in the country for equine exhibitions.

A photograph of a horseman from Chiquinquireño in the park “Juan Pablo II” of this city gave me the details of the human figure like: hat, zamarros, bearing and others, as well as the details of the animal figure, as a complement of a Boyacense landscape.

Oil painting has been one of my great passions, because through it I capture the emotions, the feeling, the doing, the living and the coexistence.
